Overview
Niche job boards win on curation. Automation keeps the board fresh daily, which most hobby boards fail at.
Costs
Roughly $10–$30/month in tools at the start.
Realistic income
Niche boards typically charge somewhere in the $50–$300 range per featured listing; revenue depends entirely on building a loyal jobseeker audience that employers want to reach. Expect months before first sale.
Risks
- Respect sources’ terms of service; prefer public APIs/feeds over scraping.
- Stale or duplicate listings damage trust.
- Chicken-and-egg audience problem.
